About us

Big Society Works Ltd is a small, Cheshire-based social business that specialises in social business development (social enterprise), community development, asset transfer and sustainability.

We are a trade-off social enterprise, offering consultancy advice and support to Local Authorities, Registered Social Landlords, charities, clubs and social businesses which generates income that we reinvest in social projects that pioneer new approaches in community engagement, sustainable assets and community enterprise.

Our business receives no public investment and has no political allegiance. We are ourselves a sustainable, self-financed social enterprise. Our team has more than 18 years experience of working within the public sector at a senior level across various disciplines including sport, health, enterprise, regeneration, skills and community development. We have operated at a grass-roots, district, regional and national level and have worked across public, private and voluntary sectors, providing us with a unique perspective.

We are committed to working with young people, encouraging them to grow and thrive. Our youngest Director is just 16 years old and provides fresh thinking and new perspective for the business.

We are eager to work with likeminded organisations determined to make a difference within their local communities.
