Welcome to Big Society Works Ltd.
Our passion is people, not politics. We believe that there is huge potential for an exciting new era of partnership between public, private and voluntary sector; an opportunity to share responsibility for the place in which we live and for the services that support our communities.
If we are to affect true sustainable change within our communities, inspiring local ownership; moving people from 'consumer' to 'producer' in society, we must invest in sustainable community development. To empower we must educate.

Over the past year we have supported Local Government to transfer out assets exceeding £40m, supported a Charity to develop its enterprising culture and secure a £800k contract to deliver public services and converted a redundant community asset into a thriving community enterprise within just 12 weeks.
We've also launched Legacypledge, an Olympic legacy project supported by the Embrace the Games partnership. Legacypledge is an interactive website that inspires Cheshire and Warrington residents to do something different to mar the year of the Games AND connects them up to local providers who can help them to achieve their ambitions.
